Dr. Lucas Bell, O.D. is originally from Algona, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa and Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While in optometry school he participated in service trips to Mexico and Belarus to provide exams and glasses to the underserved.  He completed clinical rotations at the Indian Health Services Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico, River Valley Eye Professionals in Northfield, Minnesota and The Eye Center in Memphis.  Dr. Bell enjoys spending time with his family including wife Heidi who is also an optometrist and their children Ruby and Reid.  He is an avid Hawkeye fan and also enjoys golfing and running.  Dr. Bell enjoys seeing patients of all ages. His favorite part of being an optometrist is getting to know each patient’s needs and lifestyle in order to come up with the best solution for each individual.

Dr. Brent Thornton, O.D., grew up on a farm outside Sheldon, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors in Science majoring in Biology. In 2012, Dr. Thornton completed his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While in school, he completed rotations with Shulz Eye Care in New Port Richey, Florida, Wolfe Eye Clinic in West Des Moines, and the Eye Center in Memphis. Dr. Thornton is a member of the Iowa and American Optometric Associations and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. In his spare time, Dr. Thornton enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and daughter Nora as well as working on the family farm, golfing, and attending sporting events. His favorite part of being an optometrist is establishing long term relationships with his patients to ensure a lifetime of quality eye care.
