Dr. Brent Thornton

Dr. Brent Thornton, O.D., grew up on a farm outside Sheldon, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors in Science majoring in Biology. In 2012, Dr. Thornton completed his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While in school, he completed rotations with Shulz Eye Care in New Port Richey, Florida, Wolfe Eye Clinic in West Des Moines, and the Eye Center in Memphis. Dr. Thornton is a member of the Iowa and American Optometric Associations and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. In his spare time, Dr. Thornton enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and daughter Nora as well as working on the family farm, golfing, and attending sporting events. His favorite part of being an optometrist is establishing long term relationships with his patients to ensure a lifetime of quality eye care.
